Friends,

Wharton's Rangers, 8th Texas Cav, were with Forrest on his July 13, 1862 raid on Murfreesboro.

Several Union units were surrenndered to them there including the 3rd Minnesota.

Their regimental flag has been lost to history but is said to be in private hands in Texas.

I have no interest in making any claims on this relic, I'm just curious to know if it has survived and how its doing.

Does anyone know anything about it down there?
