I am looking for any information on Leander M. Trout. He served with the Texas 11th Calvary Regiment. He died June 11, 1862 in Mississippi. I believe that he was fighting in the Corinth Campaign and believe him to be a casualty at a skirmish in Booneville, Mississippi that occured June 11, 1862. I believe he could have possibly served under Hogg's-Cabell's Brigade, McCown's Division Army of the West, Dept. # 2. I believe that the Texas 11th Calvary served under this brigade April through July 1862. I would be interested in finding out any details regarding his death If there are any further details or confirmation of these facts that you could help me with I would appreciate it. I believe that Leander lived in Fannin County, Texas from 1856 until joining the Confederacy. He was born Jan 11, 1843 in Cobb County, Georgia. His father was Perry G. Trout.
