Re: 28th cavalry where do i start

Hello Jane:

Thanks for your 2 excellant Books on Theophilus Perry and the 28th Texas Cavalry (dismounted). You mentioned that you have a muster roll of the 28th of Walker's Texas Division. Was wondering if you might be able to assist me.

I am researching the Confederate operations in Jefferson Co. AR. which from January to April 1863 included Walker's Texans. Specifically the Sulphur Springs and Pine Bluff hospitals. I am trying to find the names and muster roll records of all the Confederate Soldiers who died while in Jefferson Co. during that time period. Recent reseach indicates another site for Camp Wright other than the popularly believed location near Redfield, AR. and an associated cemetery.

If you could be able to assist me in this project please contact me at jaysinis@cei.net.

Thank You
