Masonic Lodges of North Texas

Thank you for mentioning the Masonic Lodge in the Civil War era context. These important records have been overlooked by many who study the relationships of Civil War era officers. I recommend that researchers visit the impressive Grand Lodge buildings in Waco TX and Guthrie OK.

One thing that the post commanders at Fort Arbuckle and Fort Cobb, Indian Territory had in common was that they were active in the Masonic Lodge, so I included the charter membership of several North Texas Masonic Lodges, which heretofore have been omitted from most North Texas histories.

I featured Masonic Lodges on my web site in a click-on because I included Masonic Lodges as a collective term in my Name Index.
