Major Robert M. White, 6th TX Cav Rgt

Major White was a staff officer of the 6th Tx Cav Rgt and was killed in combat in April of 1863. Does any one have the action that caused his end. Maj White was the commander of Company H, and was promoted to Maj May 26, 1862. In Apr of 1863 the 6th had engagements at Duck River Island, TN on the 26 and a skirmish at Franklin, TN with a detachment on the 27th.
My GGf Pvt Robert A. Nolan was on detached service with Major White during Apr of 1863. I would like to see if there is any detail of the events of Maj Whites end and was my GGF there.
