Re: 13th Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers Co. E

Gary,
I have his Muster Roll records. When he enlisted they say 13th Regiment Texas Mounted Volunteers, Company E. This is on the first record in 1862. The second record says Gould's Batt'n, 6th Texas Cavalry. His records for November and December 1862 just say that he was absent, then on his Jan. and Febr. 1863 record, it says that he is in the hospital in Pine Bluff. That is the last record for him. I'm just not sure what to do next. Do the records you suggest ordering contain more than the muster rolls? His wife was only 16 when he went into the service and I can find no record of her filing for a pension.
Thank you so much for the information you have given me.
