The 13th Texas Infantry served most of the war on the Texas coast. It seems that the officers of majors and above were veterans of the Texas Revolution. As far as I can determine, the 13th Texas Infantry saw no action and some of the field officers and companies were transferred to other regiments before the end of the war.
