Thanks for the correction, Jerry. I was confused because I do not recall any history on a 13th Texas Infantry.

I remember that some Texas State Troops (of age) were recruited into units of the Waul's Legion in the spring of 1862. This legion business never seemed to work well and I know from Thomas Reid that the 13TX Cavalry were very unhappy about becoming dismounted for the War.
