Our city Gladewater, Upshur/Gregg county, Texas, has found it owns a cemetery (Gay/Hagen) that they had kind of lost; it contains a grave that is marked as a confederate soldier, The stone only gives his name Perry Hewitt and birth and death years, 1834-1922. I have been unable to find any information on this man, in our city, counties or even in census of our county. I would love to have information on him.
