Ben, my grt-grt-grdfather,Calvin Horton, was also in Co.I of the 25th Texas Cal. He was captured at Arkansas Post but was ill so was left in Hickory Street Hospital(St.Louis,Mo.)where he died. Buried at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery,St.Louis,Mo. Got a some of my info on him from Sam Houston Regional Library & Research Center in Liberty,Texas. Most of the orignal members were from that area and company I was formed in Liberty,Texas under Cayton C. Gillespie before they where called up at Hemstead,Texas. Be glad to share what I have if you need it.
