Hello, I'm looking for information on Griffin's Battalion, particularly B company in which my great-great grandfather James W. B. Reynolds served. I have a copy of a letter he sent to his wife in June of 1863 at the time he was serving in a hospital at Sabine Pass. Though he lived in Wise County he joined the army in Parker County and was in active service with Giffin's at the time of the battle of Galveston. Is there a way I can find out if he was actually in the battle?
