Hello Mike...

I am researching a Texas Ranger who served with Jim McCord in Burleson's Company for about 3-4 years beginning in 1859. Sam S. Hall (aka Buckskin Sam) became a dime novelist and correspondent after the war and mentions McCord in a couple of his articles... including one scouting mission he took with McCord.

I was wondering if you had ever run across Sam's name before in your research of McCord's papers.
