I'm not finding my two ancestors (Robert Young, William R. Young)on the Civil War Soldiers System. They were of age to have served in the war but I can't find any proof that they served in any Confederate unit, only the home guard 9th. Brigade. I know they they were in Texas from 1860 until their deaths in the early 1900's because I can find their census records. Perhaps their only service was in the 9th.
