Ms Donna,

On the National Park Service Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System, your man is listed as having his records on M227, roll 18 of their records. For information on what the 22nd did ( I, too had an ancestor who served in the 22nd) , there is a book by Blessington on Walker's Division ( which the 22nd was part of) . It is excellent and with a little searching , you can find reprints of it . Check your man's pension record application for more information on what he might have done and where he might have served. Walker's Division , known as "Walker's Greyhounds" , was an active outfit and the only all-Texas Division in the entire CSA Army. The 22nd was known as Hubbard's Regiment. Walker's Division has its own web page if you are interested. That may be where you got the roster list. Let me know if you need any more assistance.
Have a good weekend.
Regards, Craig
