William Jackson Hartt, 14th TX Cavalry
In Response To: 14th TX. Cavalry Battles ()

Lynn Hartt,

Was your William Jackson Hartt the same person as the "Corporal W. J. Hart, b-1828" of the Luckey-Upton militia company that enrolled on Jan 29, 1864 in Parker County, Texas? ... If this is indeed your William Jackson Hartt, please send me his vital data; i.e., his birth year and county, his death year and county and his marriage info, since every edition of my 128-page Name Index expands to record data about North Texas soldiers and residents.

I must quickly add that this Luckey-Upton militia has a colorful history.

My 1,014-page book, "Bourland in North Texas & Indian Territory During the Civil War: Fort Cobb, Fort Arbuckle & the Wichita Mountains" is described on my website, www.bourlandcivilwar.com.
