Ben Hartt, Bourland's Regt, Feb 1863-Jun 1865

Lynn Hartt,

I do not have your "Benjamin Hartt" listed in Bourland's Regiment, so please send me his vital data.

I have a special section on page N-127 of my 128-page Name Index (Revised Edition), that is displayed on my website, www.bourlandcivilwar.com, click on: "Extra Soldiers." ... Below is the header of my page N-127.

Extra Soldiers in Bourland’s Regiment Not Listed in National Archival Records

I expect to find at least 50 additional soldiers that belonged to Bourland’s Border Cavalry Regiment that are not listed in the National Archives microfilm reels M-323-189 and M-323-190 transcribed on pages vIIppA-9 to A-32. Please send any proof, or family tradition quotes, that a soldier was in Bourland’s Regiment as well as his birth, death, and marriage data. Many have sent family information and photos of soldiers in Bourland’s Regiment. I keep a special folder with a file for each soldier and plan to dedicate at least one-fourth of a page to each soldier in a future book. Bourland's Border Regiment was originally formed in February 1863, but the the first records were written in March 1864, when Bourland's Regiment was accepted into the Confederacy.

Data about the following extra members of Bourland’s Regiment have been sent by their families.
