I teach at Texas A&M and interested in research and writing about the public and private K-12 schools in Texas during the civil war. Specifically:

1. stories of teachers that served in the war, before, during and after war

2. stories of students in school at this time

3. stories and info on the schools, location number of students etc

I have had a hard time locating any information on the above questions. I would certainly appreciate any help you might offer. Thank you.
