1st Lt Schwartzhoff needs your help. He was 1st Lt under Gustav Hoffmann. 1st Lt Schwartzhoff's grave marker is at risk, leaning badly. It is one of the oldest markers remaining in the cemetery, and the city is doing NOTHING. The City of New Braunfels has neglected the old New Braunfels Cemetery, and I'm trying my best to find descendants of the Founding Fathers to repair damaged grave markers. I have contacted as many groups that I could find on the internet, from the local Sons, to websites, to the Texas contact for the Sons of the Confederacy and no one will go over there and honor this man by straightening his marker. I would do it myself but it is too heavy. I've even asked the reenactment group to hold a ceremony to draw attention to the problem and they could care less.

I'm trying to locate 40 families for damaged markers, 500 for missing markers. I've documented over 700 markers. I'm just asking for a strong arm to help with one marker.
