Bush Smith (Anderson?) of Texas

I am trying to locate any information I can find on Bush Smith (Anderson) of Sherman, Texas (Grayson County). She allegedly married Bloody Bill Anderson in Sherman either during Christmas week of 1863 or March 3, 1864. The details I am seeking has to do with any records or writings about her life either before or after Bloody Bill was supposedly killed in Missouri in October of 1864. Several sources I have read say that, after the battle in which Anderson was killed, many of Anderson's men retired to Texas for the winter of 1864. It seems to me that there would be some records relating that at least some of those men would have delivered the news of her husband's death to Bush Smith Anderson but I have yet to find anything of that nature. It seems there would be some family or other verification of her life other than the sketchy and often contradictory information I have read about her marriage to Bill Anderson.
