Re: Frazier's Whereabouts

Drew and Craig:

The next installment on the Sibley/Green brigade is now in press.

I have tentatively entitled it: Blood on the Bayou as an intentional throwback to Blood and Treasure.

It will deal with the Civil War in SE Texas and SW Louisiana from May 1862 to early June 1863.

I have, after much soul searching, decided to publish with Statehouse/McWhiney press. Reason being is that:

a) I have tenure and am not trying to impress people with a name-brand university press;

b) We have all the marketing clout and connections of Texas A&M University Press without all the pointy-head hassles;

c) We do a double-blind review process, so it won't be a sweatheart deal;

d) The press makes the money instead of some other entity

Scheduled for Spring of 2007. I hope we are on time, because I am planning to be in Baton Rouge hocking it at the Civil War Roundtable in May 2007!

Thanks for your interest and kind words.
