Augustus Harrison Adams, 6th TX Cav?

I have received a querry concerning a Captain Augustus Harrison Adams. From the sources I have I can not find him in the 6th TX Cav Rgt. He was supposed to be in Company K, but after Throckmorton left the company in May of 62, Thomas B. Collier was promoted April 2, 1864 and Albert G. Graves was promoted to Captain March 30, 1865. One of these two may have led the company as a LT from 62 to 64 or Adams was there. Adams was said to be associated with Col Stone, so he could have been in this unit or Stone's second unit or in the 6th Cav Battalion. Anyone have any knowledge.
