In Response To: 9th Texas Calvary ()

Sometimes the Battle of Iuka is not mentioned separately because it was part of the Corinth Campaign. The 9th Texas Cavalry may not be mentioned as a individual unit because the regiment was part of Ross' Brigade, Maj. Gen. Sterling Price's Army of the West.

Marion H. and Jeremiah L. Blanton were two of my great grandmother's brothers. They were in the 9th Texas Cavalry and were killed in action at the Battle of Corinth on October 4, 1862.
