Thanks again, Carolyn. Besides Boring, (Irish), there are Prices, Wallaces, and McCollums, all Scotch. The only WBTS vets, I've nailed down are the Borings. Peter McCollum was in the Militia in the Carolinas during the Revolution, and John Boring was declared an outlaw by Governor Tryon in the 1760s, for being a "Regulator", a pre revolutionary protest group. He may have been one of 13 who were hanged. The probate of his will is about the right time. The first John Boring came to Maryland in the 1680's, and the first McCollum landed in New Jersey in the 1730s. I think he was run out of Scotland, but am not sure. There was a McCollum in the battle of Bexar, before the Alamo, from Mississippi, but I don't know if we were related. Same with a couple of Prices in the Confederate Cemetary in Dallas, but again, I'm not sure of the connection. Stan
