Thank you, Patti and Jerry. I checked some census records, last night, and compared the "Henry Porter"s found on them to the 2 guerrilla lists that I have. One Henry Porter caught my attention. He was listed on the 1870 census for Coleman, County, Texas, he was 22, "driving cattle", and born in Missouri. This name interested me because my two of my grandparents Longleys' best friends were Amos and Lottie Porter who had a big cattle ranch just a few miles from the William C. Anderson farm. They had lived there for many decades and their ranch was probably passed down to them from Amos Porter's family. I went back to my kansasheritage.org Quantrill's Guerrillas list and found the following on Capt. Henry Porter:

Porter, Capt.Henry + Quantrill Survived war
Went to KY with Quantrill. Assumed command of the remnant of
Quantrill's band after he had been wounded and captured. He
surrendered the 15 survivors to Capt. Young, US Army, at Samuel's
Depot, Nelson County, KY on 26 July 1865.

If this is the same Henry Porter that is listed as being 22 in 1870, it would have made him about 17 years old when he surrendered his guerrillas in Kentucky. That seems a little young to be a "Captain" but I know that many of the later guerrillas were in their teens and early 20's.
