I am seeking info on my ggrandfather Joseph (Joe) W. Hewitt who enlisted 10 Jan 1863 in Shelby County Texas as a Captain in the 4th Brigade Texas State Troops. Also find mention of Co A, Hewitt's 1st Regiment Texas Partisan Rangers but have never been able to find a roster of that unit. Would appreciate any help that would let me find this roster or any information on his service. His widow received a pension but that application had no info on his service. Thanks, Connie Smith
