I have been told that two of my kin died in a
Confederate military camp in Smith co.Tx in August of 1862.Their names were Nathaniel Thomas Davis,b.1811KY and his youngest son, Hezekiah "Seth" Davis, b.1842AL. They supposedly contracted Smallpox in the camp and died, never making it to the fighting. I would appreciate any information on these two or any units that were in that county from the spring of 1862 until late fall of 1862.
