Robert W. Hooks was the son of Warren and Elizabeth Hooks. He was born in 1836 and grew up in Bowie, TX. He attended the U of VA. He died around 1868/69 at Tuscumbia, AL, in an explosion of a sawmill boiler. I don't know of a photo.
