Re: WBTS NEWS: Scandinavians in CSA !

Howdy Alexander !

Well, first of all:- there was allot more than 19 Scandinavians in the CSA. From what we know there has to be about twice the size in numbers than we`ve found. I havn`t counted them all yet,but we estimate about 300+. On my site I have about 175 men in about 60 regiments and ships.

Since I am Norwegian I have most info about them. There was about 100+ Norwegians that took part on the Southern side. Most of these did serve Texas during the War. Second state are Louisiana they represented.

The most "Scandinavian unit" are 8th LA Inf with 13 men from Norway,Sweden and Denmark.

As it stands now,it seems that it was Norwegians had most soldiers in the CSA. But, the research are far from over, so this can change over time.

If you read and look over my site a little closer - you`ll get their names and the regiments they did fight in.

Here you`ll find all my sites and the WBTS Radio.
