Capt. Doughty's Co. (Refugio Spies) info needed!

I'm looking for info on Capt. Doughty's Company (Co. B) of the 29th Brigade, Texas State Troops (Cavalry) aka. Refugio Spies, or Doughty's spy company. My Great (times 4) grandfather, William M. "Bill" Park served with this unit from formation until it was disbanded in 1864. He was wounded in the left arm during some action, although I'm unsure what skirmishes the State Troops were involved in. Anyone have an idea where this unit saw service? My thought is that they probably fought indians, but again, I've found no mention of this unit in any of my texts.
