George Washington Bowling served with Co I 9th Texas Infantry.
He was born in 1843 and died in 1897.
He is buried just north of Ardmore, Ok.
Our SCV Camp ordered him a gravestone and will be putting it in sometime next month or in October. We will have a memorial ceremony for him also.
My cousin and Camp member is a Great Grandson of George Bowling.
We put on a pretty good ceremony too...will keep yall informed and maybe some of the Texas and Oklahoma Camps that are close might want to join us.
