A Biographical Souvineer of TX [posted at rootsweb]
says William G Evans Jr b. 8 Sep 1836 in GA, hsi father bearing the same name. Married Susan Owens of GA & of Irish decent; children: Green F, John B A; Jehu O, Josiah, William G Francis M, James R, Henry, Leander, Columbus, Camlin, Clarissa J, Elizabeth and Louisa. The Elder WG Evans moved first to Alabama and in 1845 brought his family to TX at which time the young WG was nine years old.

John BA is on the 1880 census, Precinct 7 Parker co TX. with another wife and 4 children, 10-16 yrs old. One is Samuel PL Evans who appears on the 1900 census in Precinct 7, Parker co. Sam's son Newil is my grandfather on my mom's side. I do not have any idea what the extra initials stand for. I have been looking for years for Newils family and just found them this past week. mary
