Ron and Steve are both correct . eBay is a great place to look for these Civil War books , as is Bookfinder.com. You just really have to know what you are looking for and what is your intended use of the book . Are you looking for a signed , first edition for investment purposes ? Or are you just looking for the book for informational purposes . Many of these Civil War books are available from the original publisher in new paperback version at a significant savings . For example , check out www.tamu.edu/upress for some excellent specials on Civil War books from the " Aggie Press" . Other bookshops that I feel that you can count on ( from personal experience) for providing top quality Civil War books at a fair price include Guidon ( Tempe, AZ) , C.Clayton Thompson ( Boone , North Carolina) , Olde Soldier Bookstore ( Gaitherburg, Maryland) and "bondstore" on eBay . I'm sure there must be a "ga zillion" more great ones that I have left out like "biggies" ,Morningside and Broadfoot . However, I'm just going from personal experience ( my money !!) , plus , I really focus on books that deal with Texas troops ( both ANV and the "west" ) . EBay is great , just take a very close look at the seller's "feedback" profile and their shipping and handling costs which can make what looks like a good deal , not be such a good deal . Good hunting !!
