I too would like to know more about camp Twitty as I think there is a good possibility it was named for my great great grand father Capt.William Carroll Twitty. The area is right as it was in Montague county which was named for his father in law Daniel Montague. William married both of Daniels daughters as the first had died. Any information would be appreciated.
