Re: Company C 33rd Regiment 5th Texas Calvary

My wife and I came into possesion a Heart Shaped Medallion made of solid silver. It is heart shaped and was more than likely placed on the Breast plate/ martindale area of a saddle. The medallion has a Star engraved on it under the star is the following engravings"5th , Texas Calvary, CSA, Mounted Yankee Slayers. There is engravings on the edges and it is heart shaped. On the back it has CSA a circle P, San Antonio 1862. We are trying to find out more about this piece or the riding equipment they used. NO, it is not for sale.

Thanks,
Iryll
