Canadian-born telegrapher George Ellsworth (1843-c1899) joined the Houston "Bayou City Guards," which (as I understand it) became Co. A, 5th Texas Infantry. Later served under cavalry Gen. Morgan as his telegrapher, was captured, escaped to Canada. I am seeking a likeness in war period. Only know of one in old age. Does anyone have knowledge of a group picture of the Bayou City Guards/Co. A with Ellsworth shown?
