Re: John Bradley, Van Zant Co Texas

There were four Confederate regiments raised with many recruits from Van Zandt County. The regiments were the 10th Texas Cavalry, 6th Texas Cavalry, 15th Texas Cavalry and the 11th Texas Infantry. Three of those regiments had recruits with the Bradly surname. The 10th Texas Cavalry although raised with recruits from Van Zandt County, the regimental roster does not indicate anyone with the Bradley surname.

Milton Bradley, 15th Texas Cavalry, Col. George H. Sweet
Mustered in at Clarksville and Tyler.

John W. Bradley, 11th Texas Infantry, Col. Oran M. Roberts
Mustered in at Houston.

Joseph Bradley, 6th Texas Cavalry, Col. Barton W.Stone
Mustered in at Dallas.

This information is in no way conclusive but it is a place to start.
