Hi Jack,

It is about a mile and a quarter west of Brister, Arkansas on county road 9 on the north side of the road. It is a VA furnished one that was placed in 2003. I emailed the guy who put it there (Old Jerusalem a old cemetery that I haven't seen any markers in as of yet where some "Brister" families are said to be buried....the Bristers and the Nations families and perhaps others. I haven't seen anything myself to know why he would be buried there but the record says he was executed in Camden, AR which is about 45 miles to the north.

I love a good mystery and may go to Camden and nose around and see if there are any reputable sources that maybe tells us if Capt. Guynes is buried in Camden (as one eyewitness source relays) or Brister.
