Your ancestor, William J. Turner, is not listed in my book, PECULIAR HONOR. The only information that I could find on him were the bits of data in his compiled service record and the listing of his death in Arkansas. Actually, you know more than I do because I had not heard the story of his death in El Paso. Was the William J. Turner who died in Arkansas the same man who died in El Paso? Hopefully, you'll be able to find the answer some day!
