Re: Sterling J. McKnight, Co B, 22nd TX Cavalry

Patricia:
Let me clarify what I have previously posted. Sterling J. McKnight is listed, per his tombstone, as being a CAPT, in Company B, 22 TEX Cavalry. His tombstone states that he was born December 13, 1835, and that he died on April 3, 1916. He is buried in West Hill Cemetery, in the City of Dalton, in Whitfield County, Georgia. I do not have anything further on him, and as I indicated, hte information came from the Whitfield County cemetery book. My inventory of this cemetery was restricted only to the graves in the small Confederate section.

I hope that this clears up any misunderstanding, for which I profusely apologize. My original posting states that he was buried in West Hill. I hope that this helps you. Lee
