A. D. Jackson was born in Spartanburg District, S.C. on 13 Oct 1838, served first in the 5 S.C.V., then transferred to K/Hampton Legion Mounted Infantry in the Summer of 1864, probably in exchange for someone who could not provide a mount. He is shown as present on the last existant muster roll for Dec 64. He oved to Texas postwar, and in 1885 was a carpenter and assistant postmaster at Wolfe City, in Hunt County. I have nothing further on him. Can anyone help me on him after that?
