The 10th Texas Artillery was not a regiment but was a battery of light artillery and was commanded by Captains Joseph H Pratt and S. S. Hynson. Served under Capt Pratt spring 1862 spring 1864 in Missouri, Arkansas and Louisiana. Later, under Capt. Hynson, it served in Louisiana and Texas, was assigned to the 2nd Texas Artillery Battalion and surrendered June 2, 1865 at Marshal,Texas. Hope this helps
