Hello,

The Witte Museum in San Antonio supposedly has the First National flag of the Bexar County Guards, commanded by Capt. Samuel Galitzen Newton. Besides trying to get a good picture of this flag, I need to know what Texas regiment this company affiliated with.

Was it the 3rd Texas Infantry?

Any help would be appreciated.
