From "Texas In The War". The 29th Texas Cavalry Regiment was organized in 1862. It served first in the Indian Territory before being assigned to Tom Green's Cavalry Division in 1863. On February 21, 1865, the 29th Texas Cavalry was assigned to the 1st Brigade in John G. Walker's old division (now under John H. Forney). During March and April, 1865, this division (Walker's Greyhounds) marched from Louisiana to Camp Groce on the Brazos (near Hempstead, Texas) and disbanded--an organized, disciplined unit to the last.

Same Source:
The 33rd Texas Cavalry Regiment was formed by augmentation to the 14th (Duff's) Texas Cavalry Battalion. This regiment served primarily on the lower Rio Grande, and several companies of the regiment fought in the last battle of the Civil War at Palmito Ranch, May 13, 1865.

Hope this helps.
