Ken,

I went to the TSLAC last July and recall seeing their Confederate pension indexes. That would indicate to me there are pension records as well. They have archives of Texas State Troops (mostly letters from senior officers), including the time of the Late Unpleasantness. They do not keep Confederate military records, but the Harold Simpson Center at Hill College has a fine collection of Confederate military records and books. Betcha can find some written by Art Bergeron.
