The flag and imprinted letters most likely represent the Texas branch of a fraternal lodge like the Masons or mutual society like Woodmen of the World. These were very common in the 1800's. I have checked my lists of such organizations and have not found a UBA. There were/are several organizations with the words United Brotherhood in their names. Also, could he have been a member of the United Brethren Church?
