Colonel John Griffith and the 11th & 17th Arkansas Infantry were not at Mansfield, but they were VERY active around Port Hudson (part of Col. John L. Logan's CSA cavalry).

I was thinking of contact the Port Hudson folks near Zachary; do you have a name/email address for them?
