My gg-grand father, Robert J. Wortham, served in the 19th Texas Cavalry. He joined that unit in Dallas Texas, in 1862. Can anyone tell me how to get a copy of his military record? There doesn't seem to be much information on the 19th Texas Cavalry. I know this unit participated in the raid on Louisiana in 1863. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You.
