There is a muster roll for the "Oak Hill Cavalry Company" recorded in the Fannin County Commissioners Court Minutes. The company was commanded by Captain James M. Smith. The roll is dated July 25, 1861 which is the date the company was organized. The Texas State Library also has a muster roll for this company under the designation "Oak Hill Guard". I am not sure if this is the same company you are referring to.
