I would think that you would be able to extract some useful information regarding the ordnance operations. I would suggest acquiring it if the price is right!!!

Dean Thomas, of Thomas Publications, is finalizing volume IV of Roundball to Rimfire at the present time. Volume IV covers Confederate arsenals and ordnance operations, including those in Texas. He's been to Marshall/Tyler and has uncovered information about other TX arsenal operations of which most people are unaware. Therefore, keep your eyes open for introduction of this work.
