Our friend, Billie Jane McIntosh, is scheduled to give a lecture about her hot-off-the-press book FROM GEORGIA TRAGEDY TO OKLAHOMA FRONTER: A BIOGRAPHY OF SCOTS CREEK INDIAN CHIEF CHILLY McINTOSH at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Checotah Indian Community Center, McIntosh County, OK, near the site of the Battle of Honey Springs. ..The first copies of her book will be distributed this week in Checotah OK.

You may remember that I edited an article about Rebecca McIntosh, sister to Chilly McIntosh, James M. McIntosh, and Daniel N. McIntosh, by Charles Steger of Atlanta TX. Charles had corresponded with Billie Jane McIntosh for years, so when I had a question that he could not answer, he ask me to contact Billie Jane who was most helpful. ..This article about Rebecca McIntosh was publised in the Sep 2007 issue of STIRPES, was published by the Texas State Genealogical Society and is featured on the following web page.
